Case Study: Industry-Wide Application – Evaluating the Impact of a Standardised Talent Charter

To examine the effect of standardised behavioural guidelines, Talent Trust collaborated with a Brand and their productions to implement a Talent Charter outlining clear expectations and workplace protocols. They surveyed a sample of the brands’ productions without a Talent Charter, then again once implemented the Talent Charter on those same sample productions to compare the results.

The Talent Charter introduced:

·       Standardized briefings before production began

·       Defined accountability structures

·       Mechanisms for reporting concerns

Measured Outcomes:

·       On-the-job support for female crew members increased by 17%

·       Crew satisfaction ratings improved by 20% in productions using the Charter

·       Diverse talent rated conduct on set 5/5

·       90% of crew and talent stated they would return for future projects under the same conditions

Conclusion

These findings suggest that defining workplace expectations at the outset of production may contribute to improved workplace satisfaction and crew retention.
